The Thai-Hong Kong Trade Association (THTA) in collaboration with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), and supported by Thai-Hong Kong Business Council, Singapore-Thai Chamber of Commerce and Malaysian-Thai Chamber of Commerce, proudly present a Business Luncheon on “How the ASEAN-Hong Kong Free Trade Agreement (AHKFTA) benefits your business?” on February 8, 2018.
Overview:
After three years of negotiations, ASEAN and Hong Kong SAR formally signed the ASEAN – HK Free Trade Agreement (“AHKFTA”) on 12th November 2017.
With over fourteen chapters covering broad areas of market access liberalization and trade facilitation, AHKFTA is expected to benefit both sides by promoting confidence and co-operation in trade and services in the region as well as using Hong Kong as a gateway to tap into China’s market.
With Thailand being the ninth biggest trading partner with Hong Kong in 2016 with over US$ 13 billion of bilateral trade value, Mr. Nicholas Kwan, Director of Research at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will provide an in-depth presentation on the agreement and our distinguished panel will discuss how this agreement will benefit Thailand and directly enhance your business opportunities.
