Thailand-Hong Kong Business Forum “Unlocking Opportunities: Bridging & Igniting Growth in Thailand and Hong Kong”
March 18, 2024: Thai-Hong Kong Trade Association (THKTA) co-organized the business forum and networking dinner with Invest Hong Kong, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Bangkok and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) at Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.
The business forum was well attended by over 200 guests from various business sectors. Welcome remarks by Mr Parson Lam, Director, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Bangkok. Opening remarks by Dr. Nalinee Taveesin, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Thailand Trade Representative. Keynote speakers on Business opportunities in Hong Kong and the market outlook by Ms. Alpha Lau, Director General of Investment Promotion, Invest Hong Kong and Global and Thai economic outlook in 2024 by Mr. Burin Adulwattana, Managing Director and Chief Economist, Kasikorn Researcher Center. The forum also had panel discussions on Future of Thai businesses in Mainland China and Hong Kong by TeC e-Business Center and Driving Thai Fashion to International Market by Ms. Jitpon Siriwattanamathangkur, Co-Founder of Gentlewoman and Dr. Saowaruj Rattanakhamfu, Researcher Director at TDRI. The end topic was on Hong Kong Connecting Opportunities in Thailand for the Greater Bay Area by Mr. Ronald Ho, Regional Director, Southeast Asia & South Asia and Ms. Irina Fan, Director of Research of Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
Networking dinner was hosted by HKETO which gathering of over 80 guests whereas Mr. Danny Yu, THKTA President delivered the welcome remarks and Ms. Alpha Lau, Director General of Investment Promotion, Invest Hong Kong provided a speech to the guests. The event was good for building connections for THKTA representatives, members and guests.
